How do you choose wall art for a home office?

What size wall art fits above a desk?
A 16"x48" (40x120cm) horizontal canvas suits most desks, or 12"x36" (30x90cm) for a compact or corner desk. Keep the bottom edge at least 10-12in (25-30cm) above the desk surface so it clears a monitor. If the wall beside the desk is narrow, a vertical piece in the same sizes works better than squeezing a wide one in.
