      De langgerekte vorm verandert de manier waarop een afbeelding wordt ervaren. Met slechts één lange as volgt het oog het werk van begin tot eind, in plaats van in het midden te blijven hangen: landschappen krijgen meer diepte, abstracte werken worden expressiever en botanische studies komen samen in één enkele steel. Het assortiment omvat ook kust- en berglandschappen, evenals ingetogen tonaal werk dat zowel in moderne als klassieke interieurs tot zijn recht komt.

      Vijf formaten, van 20×60cm tot 60×180cm. Gespannen canvas, of een zwevende of klassieke lijst in zwart, wit, hout, walnoot of goud. Elk werk wordt op bestelling gemaakt en klaar om op te hangen geleverd.

      What is long wall decor?

      Long wall decor is any wall piece made in an elongated format rather than a conventional square or rectangle. This is our leanest shape - five sizes from 8"x24" (20x60cm) up to 24"x72" (60x180cm), hung horizontally or vertically.       What is the difference between wall art and wall decor?

      In practice, very little - wall decor is the broader term and tends to include mirrors, hangings and dimensional pieces alongside prints, while wall art usually means a picture. Everything in this collection is a canvas print, so it qualifies as both. If you are searching, try both terms: retailers use them interchangeably.

      How narrow is too narrow for wall art?

      For a canvas, around 8in (20cm) on the short side is the practical floor - go slimmer and the image has too little room to hold detail, and the piece starts to read as a strip rather than an artwork. On a wall narrower than about 16in (40cm), a single 8"x24" (20x60cm) vertical is usually the right call.

      Does an elongated format change how a picture looks?

      It does. With only one long axis, the eye travels along the piece rather than resting in the centre: landscapes gain a sense of distance, abstracts read as gesture and movement, and a botanical resolves into a single stem rather than a bunch. It is why the same image can feel quite different in a long format than in a square one.

      What sizes does long wall decor come in?

      After much consideration I think the canvas I chose looks great for my space - beautifully made, stunning floating gold framed border - the only thing is I wished they used a different delivery service- the canvas arrived in IRL quickly - trying to get it delivered from UPS was a nightmare, I ended up collecting it from their warehouse. The canvase was worth it though.
